Recap: New Professionals Group Kick-Off Mix & Mingle Event

PRSA Detroit’s New Professionals Group kicked off their first Mix and Mingle Event on Thursday, March 28. PR professionals from across Southeast Michigan came together for an evening of networking and fun!
The PRSA Detroit New Professionals Group, hosted on Facebook and LinkedIn, aims to connect individuals with seven years or less of experience, regardless of age. It offers a platform for networking, accessing resources, attending virtual and in-person events, finding mentors, and fostering collaboration.
The event was held at Marx Layne & Company in Farmington Hills. It was also co-chaired by Galina Roehl and myself, Cydney Foster. As the event started, we welcomed all participants and announced exciting updates and plans that we have for the group.
Attendees networked while enjoying delicious food and drinks provided by Marx Layne. The highlight of the night was the networking bingo activity. Each participant received bingo sheets with different prompts encouraging them to connect and get to know each other while trying their luck at winning a prize.
