Event Recap: 2024 Strikes for Scholarship

Metro Detroit PR professionals gathered this month at Universal Lanes to raise money for student scholarships through PRSA Detroit’s Strikes for Scholarship fundraiser. About 30 PR professionals networked, had pizza and showed off their bowling skills.
Before the Games Began
TaQuinda Johnson, PRSA Detroit president, welcomed everyone to the signature event, reminding them of the purpose –– to raise funds to support the next generation of PR pros. Two deserving undergraduate students who are studying PR, communications, journalism or a related field in southeast Michigan will receive a $3,000 scholarship.
The Game
Six teams played two games, competing to win a PRSA Detroit Tumblr, and to be featured on the Chapter’s social media pages.

They raised over $800 to impact the future generation of PR pros.
